Tiffany Blue…at home.

Tiffany blue.  Has there ever been a color that has made women so giddy?  A color so moving, even just to have a paper box was enough to make you smile?  I’m loving these rooms that turn this color into a focal point of a room.   It’s calming, beautiful and can run the gamete from fun and playful, to serene and peaceful.  These rooms are a few of my latest online loves to inspire you to bring this color into your home today!

Recipe Round-Up

I’ve spent my Saturday morning just the way I like it – sleeping just past 8, yoga, warm shower and then curl up in my favorite chair to surf my favorite blogs!  Today I focused on finding new yummy things to serve up this winter that I can’t wait to whip up and share with my husband and friends.  BTW, can you tell it’s been a cold week here by the massive amounts of cheese and carbs in the recipes below?

Object Round Up: Graphic Pillows

There’s nothing that can quickly change the look of a living room or bedroom quite like pillow.  I’m loving these graphic looks to punch up a neutral room…

Found Friday: Valentine’s Gifts

The countdown is officially on…and while I’m not sure how I feel about this most over-rated of holidays, I do love the idea of sharing simple handmade gifts with friends and loved ones.  A few that are on my list this year:

sweet treat for sweethearts

The lovely girls at Bon Bon Brittle made me smile when I opened my mail tonight!  A fresh box of all of their yummy brittle flavors…I think my favorite is green tea.  G is loving bacon.  This would make the perfect treat for Valentine’s Day.  See all their amazing flavors here!  As they say – eat your heart out!

Etsy Love: Stencil Art

I’m loving the look of stenciled art on everything right now.  It looks so industrial and artistic…I especially love the way these creative Etsy sellers have used it in unexpected ways on unexpected items.  Buy one today – or be inspired to create your own pillow, placement, tote bag – the possibilities are endless.

i’ve been tagged

My friend, Renee, over at Eat.Live.Shop. has tagged me in a 10 things that make me happy list.  What fun!

1.  My wonderful support system.  Loving husband, world’s best mom, amazing friends + family all around me.  Seriously, it’s like I won the lottery.
2.  Magazines.  Too bad the best ones are gone.
3.  Ke$ha’s Tik Tok.  Don’t judge, I know you’re singing it in your head.
4.  Champagne + raspberries.  Separate – good, together – amazing.
5.  Rainy Saturdays.  I love the way time slows when it’s a gray and drizzly weekend.
6.  Homemade pizza.  Crunchy and thin.
7.  Ribbon, yarn, buttons, letterpress, paper, colored pencils, stamps.
8.  Practicing photography.
9.  Etsy.
10. Being done with this list:)

Yes, they’re Jeggings.

So, I’ve been holding off on this trend for awhile.  Not exactly sure I could pull it off – and then I’m not sure if I had a lapse of crazy, or WHAT?!?  but I ended up not only buying a pair, but also planning endless outfits to wear with these things.  I’m loving the no bulky pocket, slim yet stretchy goodness of these.  I will be wearing mine with endless tunic, cardigans, blazers, boots and layers and layers of jewelry this winter.  I bought the Joe’s Jean version because they’re super stretchy and the perfect length for me, but try on many to find your perfect fit.

Inspired by Mark Rothko

I adore the use of color in Mark Rothko’s work.  He had such an amazing eye for mixing seemingly contrasting colors together in such lovely combination.  I have used the above untitled work from 1954 as inspiration for today’s table setting.  I think this would make the perfect table for a Valentine’s party, don’t you?
