Some time ago – I ran across an image in a design magazine that I’ve been thinking of a lot lately. It was an office of a designer’s home office (i’m wishing i could remember the magazine or the designer…but, blank.) On her chalkboard wall, she’d written the above list. I jotted it down on the last page of my notebook and have carried it with me ever since. I love how it can apply to life in general, not just work…and am needing to remember that in my own life right now. Especially number 10, 9, 2, 1…and…well. A few other words to inspire us today:source

I’m crushing hard on all things peach at the moment. I love this softer side of orange – just the right touch of feminine + vintage for my taste.via Pretty and Pleasing
The natural fade here is stunning…

A simple, streamlined skirt. Add a heather gray tee and loads of gold baubles.
Mmmm. These colors are so soft and lovely together. A push pin project perhaps?

Dear Friend. Hope you have a happy, silly, dancing in the grass, popsicle eating kind of day.
Happy Monday! I had a lovely weekend making blueberry jam, roasted vegetable pizza and catching up with friends and family. I can’t wait to share my jam + pizza experiments with you here this week. Today’s post is going to be short and sweet because I’ve had a bit of a harried Sunday evening. Our air conditioner decided to kaputz around 4 pm and we had to pack up and move to my mom’s house until we can get someone out to fix it.

Did I mention I was making the roasted at 400 degrees for 45 minutes vegetable pizza at the time? Did I mention it was 106 degrees outside at the time?? I guess I can kind of see its point here. I mean, if I’d been working non-stop for weeks on end, I too might need a bit of a break. But I like to think I’d wait until at least October to take it……
Here’s to hoping tomorrow is a bit cooler…

I’ve found quite a few uses for clothespins as of late – gift tags, artwork display…and love these creative takes on the household staple.
