Dose of Inspiration

Some time ago – I ran across an image in a design magazine that I’ve been thinking of a lot lately.  It was an office of a designer’s home office (i’m wishing i could remember the magazine or the designer…but, blank.)  On her chalkboard wall, she’d written the above list.  I jotted it down on the last page of my notebook and have carried it with me ever since.  I love how it can apply to life in general, not just work…and am needing to remember that in my own life right now.  Especially number 10, 9, 2, 1…and…well.  A few other words to inspire us today:source

Etsy Finds: Art

via Earth Art

I have never thought of myself as a commitment phobe…that is until it came time to start purchasing art for my home.  I just can’t seem to find pieces that I think I’ll like long enough to go through with the purchase.  So today’s Etsy finds is dedicated to just that.  Art that you can welcome lovingly into your home, and on a budget!  What’s your favorite piece?

Happy Monday!  I had a lovely weekend making blueberry jam, roasted vegetable pizza and catching up with friends and family.  I can’t wait to share my jam + pizza experiments with you here this week.  Today’s post is going to be short and sweet because I’ve had a bit of a harried Sunday evening.  Our air conditioner decided to kaputz around 4 pm and we had to pack up and move to my mom’s house until we can get someone out to fix it.

Did I mention I was making the roasted at 400 degrees for 45 minutes vegetable pizza at the time?  Did I mention it was 106 degrees outside at the time??   I guess  I can kind of see its point here.  I mean, if I’d  been working non-stop for weeks on end, I too might need a bit of a break. But I like to think I’d wait until at least October to take it…

Here’s to hoping tomorrow is a bit cooler…

Etsy Finds: eggs a plenty

I’ve started a new collection…of eggs.  I’m loving their simple shape, the variety of colors they naturally come in and their beautiful textures.  I’m starting to nest them around our house – on top of books, as art, everywhere.
