Today I’m Loving: Modern Genealogy

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend…mine led me to a very long car ride from New Jersey to Connecticut which left me lots of time to reflect.  And it got me thinking about family history and specifically genealogy.

Something that my grandmother was always into – and something which I thought was cool to think about but not to display in my home.  That is, until I stumbled upon My Tree and Me – a shop that does super cool, totally modernized family trees.  And now I’ve started to reconsider their place in the modern home.

I love the wonderful usage of color, strong graphic sensibilities and the way each is photographed in a way that I can totally borrow for my own home.  And another highlight?  1% of profits are donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation…a cause that’s very near and dear to my heart.

So now the only thing I’m thinking about is which one I’ll be ordering…soon.

You?

Found Friday: Words to Live By

via Zephyrance

Happy Friday friends!  I have had such a full week…full of life, full of friends, full of family – just full of things that make me smile.  And isn’t that the bestest feeling ever?  A few words to help you feel full of inspiration and life this weekend…like the one above.  It’s hanging in my office to remind me that the only thing standing between me and my someday is fear.  And slowly, bit by bit, I am replacing that with curiosity.

today I’m loving: vintage French posters

Postale

Happy Monday lovelies!  I arrived in Paris over the weekend and spent Sunday strolling vintage markets and one thing that kept catching my eye were the lovely vintage posters.  Retro colors paired with clean graphics…I think these would be perfect worked into a kitchen, an office or if you’re lucky enough, a dressing room.  My favorite are all from French graphic artist Bernard Villemot.  His iconic style and mix of unexpected color combinations is just calling my name…

send a note…

You know of my love for all things paper.  I was shocked by the amount I’ve amassed over the years as I unpacked my office last weekend.  Even so, I’m always on the lookout for something new and cute to bring home with me.  A few of my current paper crushes that I can’t wait to add to my collection:

The In Touch Clutch from Downstairs Design.

The cutest organization system I’ve seen to keep your notecards, stamps, pen at the ready for whenever the mood to write strikes.

Personalized Poppy Notecards from Paper in Style.

I love personalized stationery, and this poppy red version is my new favorite!

Snow & Graham notecards.

The bold color + the mis-matched pattern = happiness.

From the Desk Of stationary from Paper + Cup.

The old-school feel of this notecard set is so simple yet fun.

Joyful Color Caddy from Kate’s Paperie.

The range of colors in this set is truly eye-popping and timeless.

Hope you’re having a sunny Thursday!
