My best friend sent me a text over the weekend exlaiming – “you have to have a holiday party, i’ll help!”

And it was all the motivation I needed to start thinking of festive decor that would look perfect in my home.

I’ve been waiting and waiting for the perfect excuse to make and string my own garland all over the place…so even though the dates not set, I definitely feel a party coming on.

Hello lovelies! I’m heading into the weekend full of inspiration from my travels this week. I’m staying the weekend in Seoul, Korea before heading to Hong Kong on Sunday for the last few days of my trip. I’m loving being totally unplugged from instant communication here as neither my blackberry or iphone have service. It’s helped me to slow down, focus on one thing at a time and soak in some real inspiration and thinking time. Maybe I need to make this a permanent habit.

A few nuggets of happy to send you off this Friday:

This amazing bed spotted on design*sponge has me wanting to order my own (size king please) now.

I adore craspedia, and these felt autumn beauties would love perfect in my living room. I think I’ll order a set soon…

After digging in my bag all week for my huge, dark wallet – I’m thinking of upgrading to something small and bright.

Some time ago – I ran across an image in a design magazine that I’ve been thinking of a lot lately. It was an office of a designer’s home office (i’m wishing i could remember the magazine or the designer…but, blank.) On her chalkboard wall, she’d written the above list. I jotted it down on the last page of my notebook and have carried it with me ever since. I love how it can apply to life in general, not just work…and am needing to remember that in my own life right now. Especially number 10, 9, 2, 1…and…well.
